On February 8th, 2023, the City of Indian Rocks Beach received notice that we are receiving the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The Certificate of Achievement is based on the City of Indian Rocks Beach Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending September 30th, 2021. The award acknowledges municipalities that clearly communicate its financial story. The Certificate is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting financial reporting. The City of Indian Rocks has been recognized with this certificate for more than ten years in a row.
The Certificate exemplifies the City of Indian Rocks Beach’s commitment to excellence, WORKING TOGETHER and transparency in how taxpayer money is spent.
The ACFR was prepared by the city’s dedicated Finance Department in conjunction with the City Manager. This award-winning department is led by Finance Director Dan Carpenter.
